A new DWC collection launched at Maison & Objet in Paris
Things have finally started to settle down again around the DWC offices after the Maison & Objet fair we attended in Paris in September. Preparing for the show created a huge buzz around the office because it was our first chance to debut our fifth collection to the world of interior designers at the famous design fair. A spot at the show is a coveted achievement for any company and we were proud to debut our four new wall textiles there alongside some of the best brands in the industry. Meeting designers, showcasing our products and seeing what others are creating are always the highlights of attending the Maison & Objet fair.
What makes this collection stand out from previous ones? This collection took more inspiration from nature, but maintains the DWC signature luxurious detail. Collection 5 has something to offer for every style of interior design from Scandinavian to New Bohemian.
Collection 5 includes the following four wall textiles:
Sandstone: A nostalgic palette of neutrals, this collection includes warm earth colors like ginger and shades of brown and beige. The sandstone collection offers the soft sheen and texture of a chenille type textile. Luminous yet still understated, the sandstone collection also comes in denim blue, dark green, and beautiful soft pink for those looking for a real standout moment.
Tartan: The Tartan collection takes the sheen and texture of the Sandstone collection to another level. The deep and intense earthy colors could work for any interior style, bringing attitude, depth and light to a room all at the same time.
Musa: A true representation of the way textiles can be used to create extraordinary texture as a wall treatment, the Musa collection showcases the irregular nature of raw silk yarn from India. Handwoven and multi-color ranging from black and white to light green and gold, these wall textiles evoke a bohemian artist’s studio in the South of France.
Mehari: The final member of the collection provides a stark contrast to the other three silk based wall textiles. This collection is made of artificial matte leather that is highly textured to bring more movement. Available in six different shades it is very moody, yet warm. Mehari is a collection that reflects a luxury safari lodge deep in the heart of South Africa.
Creating wall textiles that transform a room and transport the person in them is what we strive for with every one of our collections. We want to thank Maison & Objet and all the people we met at the fair for encouraging our craft. If you want to see the collection in person, you can visit our showroom in Amsterdam or find one of our dealers around the world on our website.
