Collection of linen wall treatments

Our assortment includes five linen wall treatment styles: Capital, Linen, Driftwood, Suit and Matera. Each has its own atmosphere, appearance and colours. The styles come from different collections of wall textiles.

Capital

Het linnen wandtextiel Capital komt uit de collectie City Life en heeft een grof geweven structuur. Dit zorgt voor een opvallend patroon aan de wand. De rustieke uitstraling van het linnen wordt versterkt door het tweekleurige draad waarmee Capital geweven is. Het kleurenspectrum van het wandtextiel bestaat uit natuurlijke tinten, zoals taupe, groen, goud, bruin en beige.

Linnen

Het wandtextiel Linen maakt deel uit van de Nature of Sorts collectie. Deze linnen wandbekleding heeft een iets fijnere weving dan Capital. Het draad heeft wat oneffenheden, waardoor er een natuurlijk en subtiel effect ontstaat. Linen is verkrijgbaar in negen kleuren. Van opvallend oker en wijnrood tot neutraal brons en poeder roze.

Drifwood

De collectie Sophisticated Nature bevat het linnen wandtextiel Driftwood. Deze bekleding is geïnspireerd op de natuur en heeft een subtiel patroon dat doet denken aan hout. Driftwood geeft uw wanden een subtiele, maar exclusieve look. De ingetogen kleuren zorgen voor een rustige en elegante sfeer. Driftwood is verkrijgbaar in acht kleuren: warm beige, greige, vintage groen, herfstbruin, staalgrijs, bosgroen, olijfgroen, karamel zwart.

Suit

Suit komt ook uit de Sophisticated Nature collectie net als Driftwood. Het linnen van Suit heeft een fijnere structuur en een strakkere uitstraling. Het effect op de wand is hierdoor heel subtiel en oogt modern. Ook de kleuren zijn eigentijds. Onder andere: mint groen, licht goud, marine blauw, gebroken wit en lichtgrijs schitteren in de collectie.

Matera

Matera is onderdeel van de Luxury Safari collectie en is zeer fijn geweven. Dit linnen wandtextiel heeft de fijnste structuur van allemaal en oogt rustig. Toch is de wandbekleding niet helemaal effen en heeft het hier en daar een lichte en donkere schakering, wat voor een spannend effect zorgt. Matera is verkrijgbaar in veertien kleuren, van bordeaux rood tot nachtblauw en van oudroze tot zeegroen.

The colours of linen wall treatments

Linen wall treatments are available in various colours. With us, each style has its own colour spectrum. Capital has various neutral shades, while Linen offers brighter colours. Matera offers a choice of understated dark colours, but on the other hand Suit has a light range. Driftwood is available in natural shades. Check out the styles and find out what colours they offer.

What is our linen wall treatment made of?

Linen is a 100% natural material. The textile is made of flax. This is a plant from which linseed is also harvested. Flax for linen is also called fibre flax. After harvesting, the flax is dried, roasted, turned and minced. Linen is characterized by its strength. The thread obtained from flax is super strong.

Linen is mainly made in Europe in Belgium and northern France. The flax fibre from this region is known for its high quality. The linen for our wall treatments also comes from Belgium.

Various types of linen wall treatments are a combination of linen and other materials. The abbreviations of the materials represent: linen (LI), polyester (PES) and viscose (VI).

Applications of linen wall textiles

Thanks to the high quality and fine finish of our linen, the wall treatment is suitable for all kinds of rooms. The different finishes and colours make linen beautiful in living rooms, bedrooms, hotel rooms, shops or restaurants. There are endless possibilities for our exclusive linen wall treatments.

How do you apply linen wall treatments?

The application of paper/fleece wallpaper is not comparable to the application of linen wall textiles. Linen is more alive and is more sensitive to stains; these are also harder to remove than with wallpaper. We therefore recommend that the wall textiles be applied by a professional hanger. We are happy to put you in touch with knowledgeable professionals for the best result.

Some of our wall treatments are supplied with the selvedge of the fabric still attached. These must be removed before you apply the wall treatment. This allows you to match the linen wall textiles on pattern. The material must be processed with care. Follow the steps below for the best result when applying your linen wall textiles.

Check whether the batch numbers of the different roles match.
Check the wall textiles for flaws. In the event of a flaw or when in doubt, contact us directly.
Ensure that the surface meets the following requirements:
- Flat: Any unevenness can cause disturbances in the wall textiles. Bumps should be sanded flat, old wallpaper remnants removed and holes filled.
- Dry: Make sure the wall is completely dry. No damp areas and wait a few days after applying new plaster.
- Strong: Powdery walls and new stucco must be pre-treated with an adhesive primer.
- Clean: The wall must be clean and free of dust.
- Smooth: Irregularities in the surface can in some cases be visible through the wall textiles.
- Lightly absorbent: the surface must be able to absorb sufficient but not too much glue. New plaster often sucks too much glue, and that causes poor adhesion.

Finally, it is important that you use good glue for applying the linen wall textiles. We recommend using DWC Colforte for the best and most powerful adhesion result.
